If you’ve been in an airport in the last twelve months, you’ve no doubt noticed that there are an ever-increasing number of military members in uniform who are finally coming home.  While some of these service members will decide to continue their career in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, or Coast Guard, many of them will decide that it’s time to separate from active duty service.  Today, if a service member decides to continue their military career or not, they have at their disposal a great benefit that will help them, whatever they decide.  That benefit is the New GI Bill, which will help them go to college or technical school to help them further their career.

Many military members already have college degrees, but they can still use the GI Bill to continue that education, if they so choose.  Additionally, by going back to school, some vets may find the transition into civilian life is eased.  Once a veteran or service member decides to go to school, the amount of choices in a wide variety of programs may surprise them.

The New GI Bill is stronger than ever, offering more benefits to our deserving veterans and service members.  Now, more expenses are able to be covered by the new GI Bill, allowing qualified vets to create an educational plan that will get them where they want to be.  Books, tuition, fees, and even housing in some instances, will now be allowed expenses.

Colleges across the nation have also recognized that military service members not only deserve recognition, but help, so they can ease into their education with little stress.  That is the reason for many new programs that offer to help military students get the most out of their education.  Since the needs of military students often differ from regular college students, colleges have programs in place like special orientations, tutoring, counseling, and job placement services that are all designed for the military students’ needs.

There are companies all across the nation who want to help veterans after they have served their commitment to the military to provide scholarships for military dependents to them.  They want to have veterans as employees because veterans have already been in the work force for a number of years in a very demanding career.  Their military career has helped them develop such desirable traits as leadership abilities, a great work ethic, and a definite maturity over other candidates and online degree will help to future that.  By using their gi bill education to get a higher education, military members and veterans will assure that they have a better chance than ever to find a good job in their future careers.

Just how many types of nurses are out there? Even professional organizations have a hard time keeping up with the variety of specialties out there. Below the LPN is the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). The Nursing Assistant still holds a high level of ability, but is unable to often perform some tasks due to issues of liability and legality. They provide the bulk of the grunt work in a hospital setting, depending again on the NPA. The CNA’s salary is the widest ranging, usually starting at just short of $20,000 and into the 30’s.

From there the nursing field diversifies into a number of different specialties, and can range anywhere from social work and cruise nurses to setting up their own offices as nurse practitioners. Salaries and certification can go into the $100,000 range. Naturally, there is some sort of certification that comes with the specialty, but that’s a decision one can make after getting licensed by a state.

Another important factor is a nurse can jump from one category to another, depending on their personal desires and their nursing university. Many health institutes encourage their nurses to be equipped with degree on line, rewarding them by paying their tuition or salary increases upon graduation. The numbers are staggering. The Bureau of Labor Statistics, a division of the Department of Labor, states that there will be one million new nursing job openings. No one denies that being a practicing nurse is an easy field. The incredible, and growing, shortage means working under a considerable amount of stress. At the same time, the ladder for rapid advancement is readily available to anyone who wants to climb it.
